A grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony took place prior to this on <strong>November 14, 2025<\/strong>, with government officials and hospital leadership in attendance. Joining me are MMP Sam Oosterhoff, Regional Councillor Rob Foster, Premier Doug Ford, and Regional Councillor Albert Witteveen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new facility brings several vital additions to the West Niagara community:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>State-of-the-Art Facility:<\/strong> The $224-million rebuild is roughly 80% larger than the hospital it replaced.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Single-Patient Rooms:<\/strong> It is the very first new hospital in Ontario to feature exclusively single-patient rooms, prioritizing privacy and infection control.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enhanced Capacity:<\/strong> It includes 55 inpatient beds, six birthing suites, a modernized 24\/7 emergency department, and surgical and diagnostic imaging suites (including CT scanning).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To explore the facility, take a virtual tour, or find directions, please visit the official <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hamiltonhealthsciences.ca\/about-us\/our-organization\/our-locations\/west-lincoln-memorial-hospital\/\">West Lincoln Memorial Hospital<\/a> page provided by Hamilton Health Sciences.
